AQUA-FISCH holds a special place for the German fishing community. It’s not just a trade fair, but the beginning of the season for anglers, fly fishers and aquarists. It’s an opportunity for the community as a whole to come together, reconnect and make their purchases early. That’s why it has earned itself the title of largest fish fair in southern Germany. What’s best about the trade fair is that it makes sure to capture the entire value chain of fishing and the underwater world. Discover the full spectrum of products available for fishing – equipment, accessories, apparel, bait, smoking equipment and products, and even small fishing boats, which will be demonstrated. Those, who are interested in aquariums and terrariums, will have a chance to look at enclosures, tanks, food, lighting, equipment and plants.

AQUA-FISCH is an annual trade fair held in Friedrichshafen. Editions are put together in spring towards the end of March and last for three days in total. Messe Friedrichshafen performs double duty as the organiser and the host venue. Door are open to trade visitors and the general public. Working hours are set for 09:00 in the morning until 18:00 in the afternoon on the first two days, and until 17:00 on the closing day. Messe Friedrichshafen enjoys a terrific location in the city that makes commuting effortless. The exhibition centre is located 10 minutes away from both the city railway station and the airport. You have terrific connections from both places. However, you can also take advantage of the Free shuttle bus MesseExpress, which picks up visitors from the main train station and the ferry dock.

For a community fair servicing mostly the German market, AQUA-FISCH generates phenomenal numbers when it comes to participation. Editions spread over 16,000 square metres of exhibition space, which is populated by 175 exhibitors from around the country. And the audience? Last live edition saw 21,230 visitors as a whole. That’s quite the reason to get yourself a stall and exhibit. The trade fair enjoys support from several institutions – German Zeppelin shipping company, international Lake Constance Tourism and Tourist Information Friedrichshafen. Everybody is welcome to attend AQUA-FISCH and exhibitors have a fantastic opportunity to reach different customer segments from newbies to experienced fishers. There are opportunities for children and young adults to practice their skills at the Casting Demo and members of the European Fly Fishing Association (EFFA) give practical demonstrations.
AQUA-FISCH 2023
AQUA-FISCH's 2023 edition featured 129 exhibitors and 18,200 visitors. The event took place as a live trade fair without implementing Covid-19 safety measures between 03.03.2023 and 05.03.2023. The hosting location, Messe Friedrichshafen, did not feature such safeguards because Germany lifted its pandemic-related restrictions in 2022.
AQUA-FISCH 2024
AQUA-FISCH 2024 was a live trade fair that represented the 30th anniversary of the trade exhibition. It featured over 120 exhibitors from 11 countries and more than 16,600 visitors during its hosting between 08.03.2024 and 10.03.2024.
