Automechanika Istanbul 2024

Automechanika Istanbul follows the format of its famous German originator. The international fair for the automotive industry arrives every single year at the start of spring – either in early April or in early May. Its home in Istanbul, Turkey is in the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center, where editions run for a total of four days and admission is given only to industry insiders.

Working hours are set from 10:00 in the morning until 18:00 pm in the afternoon on average, but be sure to check opening times once more after the new edition’s program is revealed. The event’s organisers are Messe Frankfurt Istanbul Uluslararasi Fuarcilik and Hannover Fairs Turkey Fuarcilik.

Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center finds itself removed from the city centre as it’s located in Beylikdüzü – a 45-minute drive, but there are a lot of taxis and a shuttle bus service available for commuting. Atatürk International Airport is located a 25-minute drive away. 

There’s a lot of support coming in from the Turkish government through the Ministry of Trade as well as big associations and federations from Europe and Turkey such as ASA, EGEA, TAYSAD and ZDK. In previous editions, Automechanika Istanbul has netted impressive profits for Turkish automotive manufacturers – 32 billion dollars. Attendance numbers reflect this impressive success with around 1400 local and international exhibitors and an audience reaching up to 48,000 trade visitors from 130 countries.

Automechanika Istanbul attracts Turkish manufacturers of all sizes to its exhibition halls mainly because the trade show opens doors to other markets West and East — a quite effective means to access otherwise unavailable regions at a relatively low costs. Visitors at the show mainly represent buyers, exporters, and suppliers looking for quality products. 

Automechanika Istanbul 2021

The 2021 edition Automechanika 2021 occurred as a hybrid event - Automechanika PLUS. The event consisted of a live exposition and a complimenting digital platform with the same name as the edition. The face-to-face aspect of the fair occurred at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center. As part of the format, the venue features the latest Covid-19 prevention measures, including a 3G entry rule. Despite the ongoing pandemic, the fair received a total of 60,634 trade visitors and features 652 exhibitors, One hundred and twenty-one countries attended the fair including Belarus, Russia, and Germany.

Automechanika Istanbul 2022

Automechanika Istanbul 2022 was a hybrid event that occurred between June 2nd and June 5th, 2022. Like the 2021 edition, the event included a face-to-face trade show at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center, as well as a digital platform. Covid-19 safety precautions, such as social distancing and frequent hand hygiene, were implemented at the venue. The event attracted 825 exhibitors from 28 nations and 48,354 attendees from 141 countries. The top visitor nations were Iran, Egypt, Iraq, Libya, Bulgaria, Tunisia, Jordan, and Algeria and were represented by members of the group of 13,802 international visitors. Turkey, Italy, Pakistan, Morocco, India, China, Germany, Poland, South Korea, and Lithuania were the top exhibitor nations.

Automechanika Istanbul 2023
