CPhI China 2024

CPhI China is an annual trade show, which typically takes place in June, but in the past couple of years due to the coronavirus pandemic has been organised in December. Editions are put together by UBM EMEA and the China Chamber of Commerce of Medicines & Health Products Importers & Exporters. Programming lasts for three days at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). The first day starts at 09:30 in the morning, while the last two days begin earlier at 09:00. Closing time is at 18:00 in the evening. The only exception is closing day, which wraps up at 15:30 in the afternoon. Commuting to SNIEC is incredibly easy thanks to its location in the Pudong New Area. The Longyang Road Station finds itself a short walk away and there you have a variety of public transport services. From there you can catch buses, metro lines and maglev.

What does it mean when we say CPhI China is the largest pharmaceutical trade show in Asia? The last edition had about 66,000 trade visitors in attendance, who came to see what more than 3200 exhibitors had to offer on the show floor. There’s been an increase in visitor numbers by 10% and almost a third of all visitors are foreign nationals. Most international visitors are from Asian countries such as Korea, Japan, Vietnam and India, followed by European markets like Italy, France, Spain, Sweden, Germany and the UK. Professionally, you have the entire processing chain under roof going from supply and manufacturing to distribution, logistics and points of sale. The visitors that attend are at the top of the corporate ladder and have significant purchasing power.

CPhI China 2023

CPhI China 2023 occurred on more than 200,000 m2 of event space at the SNIEC. The event was held between 19.06.2023 and 21.06.2023 and featured over 58,300 participants who engaged in more than 80 conferences. This included over 55,000 visitors and more than 3,300 exhibitors.
