The international trade fair is held on an annual basis in Jönköping, Sweden, sometime around November. Trade visitors experience the latest in machine tools, machine components, machinery components, assembly equipment, raw materials and manufacturing processes. Elmia AB serves as the official organiser and the fair takes place at the Elmia Exhibition Centre over the course of four days. Doors open at 09:00 am until 17:00 pm, with the only exception being the last day when the closing time is scheduled for 15:00 pm.
In operation for the better part of forty years, Elmia Subcontractor has been able to rise through the ranks a major meeting place for all players involved in the manufacturing industry. This was achieved in no small part thanks to the commitment to cover the entire processing chain, and there is much to be said about the type of industries that send representation – the automotive, machine building and electro/electronics industry.
Elmia Subcontractor 2021
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, Elmia Subcontractor 2021 underwent an event format change. The trade show was organised as a hybrid event, with a physical exhibition and a complementary digital platform. This allowed the 9,652 visitors and 770 exhibiting companies to take part virtually or in person, depending on their circumstances. When visiting the face-to-face aspect at the Elmia Exhibition Centre, participants were required to follow strict Covid-19 safety precautions. This included strict mask-wearing and social distancing rules. There were 28 countries represented at the trade fair, including Sweden, Germany, and Norway.
Elmia Subcontractor 2022
Elmia Subcontractor's 2022 edition was held as a live trade show in the Elmia Exhibition Centre. Because of the removal of the associated internal limitations, it did not include Covid-19 safety measures. Over 10 600 visitors and 820 exhibitors from 23 nations visited the edition.
Elmia Subcontractor 2023
The 2023 edition of Elmia Subcontractor was hosted in the Elmia Exhibition Centre as a live trade fair between 14-16.11.2023. The rendition did not include Covid-19 safety measures similar to the 2022 format. Over 970 exhibitors from more than 20 countries attended the event.
