Founded back in 1977, Elmia Wood has a simple goal – place Swedish manufacturers and suppliers on the map where the forestry industry is concerned. Today, the international exhibition has not only met this goal, but transformed into the biggest platform for innovation in Europe. Visitors are first to see brand new machinery and equipment revealed by brands and showcased to their fullest potential. Live demonstrations are the bread and butter of Elmia Wood. Exhibitors get to bring out their biggest and best to showcase what they can do in field conditions. The product portfolio is extensive and covers brush cutters, chippers, trailers with loading facilities, tree saws, grippers, precipitators, harvesters, moulding cutters, mulch-cutters and off-road vehicles.

Professionals in the forestry, lumber, and, and woodworking industries eagerly await Elmia Wood once every four years. The major international exhibition occupies the open space at Bratteborg Estate at Jönköpings Län in the forest 30 km south of Jönköping. The only way to reach the exhibition grounds to drive and Elmia Wood sits close to E4 and the Bratteborgs Gård in Vaggeryd, if you want to do a bit of historic sightseeing. Organisers - Elmia AB – are building an entire venue, complete with parking and Wi-Fi. Editions of Elmia Wood take place during late May over the span of four days in total. Both trade visitors and the public are welcome to experience the exhibition. Opening times are from 09:00 am until 17:00 pm. The only exception is the final day, which closes at 16:00 pm.
Elmia Wood generates a lot of opportunities for business development regardless of how large the companies are. The vast majority of visitors come from Sweden and Scandinavian countries, then Germany and members of the European Union.
Elmia Wood 2017 Edition
Elmia Wood's editions frequently include new support program additions. Its 2017 edition, for example, included three new demonstration zones. A 7-hectare arena was built for the final tree feeling. Leading manufacturers displayed harvesters in the zone. This enabled attendees to compare various models and brands. Load & Transport was another innovative zone. It was a forestry industry logistics zone. Forest road construction and maintenance products and services were presented at the location. It also featured transportation options for forest raw materials. Participants could also observe timber handling at terminals or wood yards. The Drones Zone made its debut in the 2017 edition as well.
Elmia Wood 2022 Edition
The event's 2022 edition took place as a face-to-face trade fair between 02.06.2022 and 04.06.2022. It attracted approximately 26,000 visitors who were interested in the innovations displayed by over 270 exhibitors from 22 countries.
