The hybrid Gamescom 2022 set a new attendance rate for the trade show. The event, which took place as a live trade fair complemented by an online platform from August 23rd to August 28th, 2022, attracted 265,000 attendees from over 100 nations and 1,100 exhibitors from 53 countries (75% of whom were from abroad). Over the course of the programme, the supplementary virtual platform received 130 million views, including 12 million dedicated to Opening Night Live.
