The International Hardware Fair is an exhibition, which takes place once every two years and falls on even years. Cologne, Germany welcomes the event for a period of four days at the beginning of March usually and takes place at Koelnmesse alongside the related IAW. Koelnmesse also functions as the official organiser for the event.
Only trade visitors are admitted entrance and working hours are from 09:00 am until 18:00 pm. Only the last day ends an hour earlier at 17:00 pm. You have your choice between the tram, the metro, and the city rail system, which alone has four lines that service the exhibition grounds.

Eisenwarenmesse 2022 took place as a hybrid event between the dates 25.09.2022 and 28.09.2022. It was held in such a format due to the pandemic. The event received approximately 25,000 attendees from 125 countries (over 70% were from abroad) and around 1,400 exhibiting companies from 50 nations.

Eisenwarenmesse 2024, or International Hardware Fair 2024, was a live trade fair hosted in Messe Cologne. It took place between 03.03.2024 and 06.02.2024. Over 3,200 exhibitors from 55 countries attended the event, with 92% travelling from a foreign country. Their are were overviewed by 38,000 visitors from 133 nations, with over 70% travelling from abroad.
