OTWorld 2024

OTWorld is the joined venture of confirmed Gesellschaft für Congressmanagement and Messe Leipzig. This major international trade fair occurs once every two years in Leipzig, Germany and editions are often scheduled for early May. Proceedings run out of Messe Leipzig for a total of four days and admissions are open only to professionals in the rehabilitation industry. Working hours are usually from 09:00 am in the morning until 18:00 pm in the afternoon, but be sure to get a confirmation closer to the dates. Messe Leipzig has good public transport service, which means you can reach the exhibition grounds in a number of ways. You can catch tram line 16 in the city centre for a scenic commute. Another option is to turn to the regional train (RB) or suburban train (S-Bahn). The S-Bahn even has a line going to Leipzig/-Halle Airport.

OTWorld has reached its level of success thanks to the sponsorship of the Bundesinnungsverband für Orthopädie-Technik, which is the Federal Association for Orthopedic Technology and a major source for the attending professionals. Editions are quite successful, given the fair’s reputation as the world’s largest and most important meeting place for the sector. Last edition saw more than 570 exhibitors from 43 countries and 21,400 trade visitors from over 90 countries. Roughly two-thirds of all visitors come from overseas. There were also 2500 congress delegates and 320 experts as a party of the conference program. In attendance, you will find orthotists, prosthetics, orthopaedic shoe technicians, podiatrists and chiropodists, rehabilitation technicians, therapists and doctors, as well as engineers and representatives of funding organisations.

OTWorld 2022 Edition

The 2022 edition of OTWorld was held as a hybrid trade show. It included a face-to-face trade expo and a complementing digital platform. The live section of the event took place in Leipziger Messe between 10.05.2022 and 12.05.2022. OTWorld 2022 attracted a total of 18,800 trade visitors, with over 6,000 of them attending from a foreign nation. The visitors represented 86 countries, with 51 percent of them being decision-makers. They examined the wares of over 440 exhibitors and attended the conference sessions held by 300 speakers. 90% of attendees thought the edition was a success and plan to attend the 2024 edition, as well as suggest the fair to other professionals.
