A global premier information technology conference

Web Summit enjoys a strong reputation within the technology and start-up circles as a conference that launches companies on the global stage. Established in 2010 by Paddy Cosgrave, David Kelly and Daire Hickey, Web Summit has quickly become the place for professionals involved within digital solutions, Internet products and software to learn what’s what on the highest level as well as gain visibility on a bigger scale. The conference is largely considered as the biggest tech event in the world and considering that luminaries like Stephen Hawking have attended it as a speaker solidifies this claim. There are quite a few topics discussed with emerging technologies, venture capitalism and Internet technology at the forefront. Web Summit is not only a place to gauge where the industry is headed, but also a platform for changing it. That’s what makes it an event you can’t afford to miss.

Web Summit 2024

Between the dates 11.11.2024 and 14.11.2024, Web Summit 2024 will take place. The trade show will be held in a face-to-face format between the Altice Arena and the Feira Internacional de Lisboa venues. The exhibition centres will not have stringent COVID-19 prevention measures in place. This is due to the removal of the national pandemic-related restrictions related to event venues. There are currently no travel limits in place for Portugal's mainland.

Web Summit is held on an annual basis with editions scheduled later in the year around November – an exception to this being 2019, when the conference will move to December in an online format. The event is organised in Lisbon, Portugal by Connected Intelligence Limited and programming takes place at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa over the course of three days. Only industry professionals are given admission and there is a packed day-to-day schedule, so be sure to research work hours beforehand. The exhibition centre is located in the Parque das Nações, which is a growing, modern area of the city and has all the public transport connections. In addition to good road access, Feira Internacional de Lisboa sits close to the Orient Train Station – your access point to bus lines, train service, express buses and the underground train. Humberto Delgado Airport is also a short distance away.
